Wang Fengzhong, doctor, supervisor of postgraduate, researcher. He is now the associate director of Institute of Food Science and Technology CAAS and holds concurrent posts of the director of Laboratory of Quality & Safety Risk Assessment on Agro-products Processing(Beijing), Ministry of Agriculture, chief scientist of Nutrition and Health Team, standing associate director of Supervision and Testing Center of Quality on Agro-products Processing. He has been the person in charge of the quality of Testing Center of Apicultural Products, Ministry of Agriculture, the associate director of Product Department of Institute of Honeybee Research, deputy general manager of China Apicultural Science Development Company, associate director of Training and Service Center of Postgraduates, associate director of Academic Degree Office, associate director of Professional Degree Education Office, associate director and director of Training Center and so on. He was awarded  Master of Science of Microbiology in Shandong University in 1995, Master of Science of Microbiology in Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 1998, MBA in IOWA in 2005 and Doctor of Processing and Safety of Agro-products. He has been worked on microorganisms, agro-products processing, nutrition and health, functional food research higher education and training.

In respect of the theory and technical research of agro-products, he hosted and participated in more than 10 programs like Basic Programs of Ministry of Science and Technology, Financial Program of Ministry of Agriculture, 863 Project, Technology Research and Development Program of Ministry of Science and Technology, 948 Major Program and many Connection Programs of Science and Enterprises during the “the Tenth Five-Year Plan” and “the Eleventh Five-Year Plan”. He also accomplished many researches on production standards and formulation of technical standards of apicultural products, anti-alcoholic and liver-protective products Dendrobium products, pueraria products and bee pollen products. He also completed the researches of the development and functional verification of series apicultural products, anti-alcoholic and liver-protective products Dendrobium products, pueraria products and bee pollen products as well as relative researches on standard formulation and risk assessment of the application of pigment and “three insecticides” in the processing of agro- products. He made an outstanding contribution in the fields like the nutrition and health, development of functional foods, functional verification and risk assessment of active factor. In terms of formulation of development planning of agro-products processing industry and the formulation of development planning of agro-products processing industry in Luanchuan City, Henan Province. He published over 20 research papers and was granted 12 patents as well as fostered over 20 postgraduates.

He holds concurrent posts of committee member of Evaluation Committee of the Safety of Pollution-free Agro-products and committee member of Evaluation Committee of Organic Foods of Ministry of Agriculture.
